The pipe band has been in continuous existence since 1914 and has a long history of successes at pipe band competitions and highland dancing contests. Over the past few years it has turned its attention over to engagements rather than competition work. The band performs at all type of functions across the North of England and can offer a varied programme to suit any occasion. STOP PRESS: MORE BAND MEMBERS REQUIRED
The Band Committee wishes to increase the size of the band by introducing more new members. Our present strength is
as follows but we would like to increase each section as listed below.
Pipers - 10 at present. -------------Vacancy for 5 more.
Side drummers - 7 at present.----Vacancy for 1 more.
Tenor drummers 2 at present. ---Vacancy for 1 more.
Dancers 5 at present. --------------Vacancy for 3 more.
Bass drummer. 1 at present
Drum Major 1 at present

The band practices on Wednesday evenings at 7.45pm in Greengates Primary School, Stockhill Road, Greengates, Bradford BD10 9AX. Visitors are welcome Tuition is given in piping, drumming and highland dancing to anyone who is keen to join the band. |
